For maximum visual impact, end grain veneers bring to the fore the natural characteristics and true age of a tree.

End Grain Wood Veneers

Arguably the most interesting and characterful veneers are those that have been created using the end grain process. This method sees a log sliced across the trunk rather than slicing the log lengthways.

Slicing across the trunk allows you to see the growth rings and therefore the true age of the tree making for a visually interesting pattern within the veneer. Being end grain, these veneers can be more delicate and for ease of handling, a backing material is applied after slicing and drying. Jointed end grain – veneered sheets are possible as are loose, circular disks of each individual slice. The translucent nature of this product allows itself to backlighting applications.
